Karingal Community Living offers respite to the families and carers of people with a disability on both a planned and emergency basis.
This support is offered to provide short term breaks for the primary care-giver while providing a positive experience for the person with a disability.
Respite is offered at Karingal Community Living accommodation, in the person's home and also elsewhere in the community.
Overnight accommodation respite - at Kirribilli residential service or Karingal's Banyan Street residence.
Home based respite - Support is given in the home while the primary carer takes a break.
Community access respite - Support is provided in the community while the primary caregiver takes a break. This can include social and group activities, camps and holidays.
